Going into this wedding I was excited. Not just because I love Tabitha and Tom, but because they planned to do something during their ceremony that I had never seen before! More on that later.
If you haven’t met Tabitha and Tom yet I highly recommend you go check out their engagement session blog here! Like seriously, their engagement session was one to be remembered without a doubt! It was cold, like below freezing cold, and yet completely amazing!!
The Wedding Day
As we arrived at the Epicurean, Skyler and I couldn’t help but feel a little giddy. Its not often that we get to be in the heart of Atlanta on a beautiful day to photograph what would inevitably be an amazing and gorgeous wedding!
After looking around on the lawn, which by the way is on the 9th floor, and yes the views are amazing! You’ll see in a minute 😉 We made our way upstairs to say hey to Tabitha and her sweet bridesmaids, and quickly get the day started! Side note, it always amazes me how quickly the day flies by once we dive into details. We walked into the room full of smiles, excitement, and two large fluffy cats. Yes, cats. In a hotel room.
I know, this sounds odd, but it was one of my absolute favorite parts of the day!!! In just a few minutes you will get to see Penny and Pepper, the prettiest and most regal Maine coon kitties I have ever met. Can you guess the best part about the cats? They were going to be the flower girl and ring bearer!!! Can you hear me squealing in excitement through the screen!? I LOVE all things unique and fun when it comes to proposals, engagements, and of course weddings. So naturally, this had me super excited! I can’t wait to show you how they came down the aisle!
The day moved on, and it was time for Tabitha and Tom to see each other for the first time at their first look. As soon as Tom turned to see Tabitha you could see the emotion flooding his face as he fought back tears. They embraced, wiped away tears, and then read each other the vows they had written. It was such a sweet and private moment that they got to enjoy before the whirlwind of the rest of the day unfolded.
We moved on to photos of just the two of them, then quickly whisked them upstairs where they would wait till the ceremony as guests arrived.
As the processional began, the moms were seated, the bridal party found their places by Tom, and then the flower girl and the ring bearer made their charming way down the aisle in none other than bubble-like cat strollers! Such a highlight of the day and these regal kitties remained so calm and collected the entire ceremony! Pepper and Penny may have stolen the show, and I think we are all ok with it. However, when Tabitha began her walk toward Tom, it was like they were the only two people there. Tom smiled gently towards Tabitha, with tears brimming, as Tabitha smiled from ear to ear in excitement for this long-awaited moment.
I’m sure the cheering was heard all the way down to the streets as Tom and Tabitha made their way back up the aisle as Husband and Wife!
This led to such a fun reception full of laughter and lots of dancing! Any time there are light sticks, light-up crowns, and conga line, you know you’re in for a treat!
Now, please take a few minutes to enjoy these moments from Mr. and Mrs. Regan’s beautiful wedding day!
